Are they so dense they wouldn't know that everyone would expect this to be the patch? Maybe it was a last minute decision or something and they decided to wait a week or two. While I can understand the reluctance to put a public deadline on the patch, they could tell us when it's not coming...

@EnzyOne, not sure if you're just pointing it out again or if this kind of manipulation is new to you. @Anuiran covered this some months ago when it was primarily happening with Fiery Brimstones.
I don't ever expect a fix for it. It's seems pretty dumb to do it with something that costs 296 Gold, but money is money, I guess. |

I think I'm done investing in commodities for now. I am getting a tad impatient looking at all those tomes in my completed tab. I really wish I could figure out what is selling on the RMAH and take advantage of it.

Tomes spiked at 600 and have gone back to 500. Sold 15% of my stock at a 40% profit (515 G) to ensure I get something out of the deal if it's just speculators pushing the price spike.

Market going crazy. Every Gem up 100%, Emeralds up 300%. Tomes up to 700 G, Tears at 1300 G, Brimstones at 7500 G. As Stukhrl said, combined gems are going at a 50% ROI right now. BAAAAHHHHH! Whee!

@Baldy No worries, Anuiran has stated there's a Gold dupe bug so depending upon how much has gone through PayPal already, we'll more than likely be getting a server rollback.

So was anyone able to see what price tomes ended up on? Before everything went crazy, I set sells ranging from 998-1600 to sell my 340,000 tomes. My average buy price was 207g so a minimum of 500% return sounded pretty good.
Side thought, man, good gear is going to be crazy expensive now. Yes, they might be hunting down the guys who made billions through the dupe, but what about all the indirect billionaires who sold gems/tomes. Hyperinflation. |

I sold my tomes at 995. I figure my average buy price was around 320. They sold almost instantly at that price and the auction house was taken down between say 5 and 30 minutes of my sale. (by the time I finished my first act 1 run the AH was down)

@Baldy: I know exactly how you feel. :-0 By the time I managed to log on after the patch, AH was already down w/ a notice by Blizzard saying no estimate on when it'd be back up... :-0 So no sells for me yet at any rate... :-(

I bought 300k Tomb of Secrets for 75mil (250ea) a few months back, just logged on today and sold them for 1,000 a piece.
Profitted quite nicely thanks to someone's earlier guesstimation. =) |
