Let's talk about Iridescent Tears...

They're currently worthless. Even though they spiked up in price with the whole Brimstone crafting hype, they still aren't selling for more than 200 gold.

If Blizzard has any plans to revamp the crafting system, I think that Tears are definitely go way way up. Think about the mentality expressed with Lylirra's post that started the hype to begin with -- "we want to make crafting useful by revamping the system." With an imminent revamp, wouldn't it make sense to change the value progression to Essence < Tear << Brimstone as opposed to Tear << Essence << Brimstone, as it stands currently?

idk. After seeing that Tomes thread, the whole "buy @ rock bottom" thing strikes a very resonant chord with me and Iridescent Tears.

Your right, but wait until they drop down to 70-80 before you buy. That way even if nothing happens you wont lose much.

saw this thread when it was first posted and had been slowly gathering terars before that. Decided to take a gamble and bought a good amount. They recenly spiked up over 700 gold and I had decided to sell about half of what I had before that. still made a good profit but I am still sitting on the other half o the inventory hoping they may go higher with the release of the patch. any thoughts?

As of right now, anyway, Blizzard is specifically targeting Tears for usable crafting material. The new Razorspikes recipe currently requires 25 Tears on the PTR, but only 25,000 Gold. Given that bracers can roll as godly rare gear (stat, vit, AR, 6% CC), there's going to be a lot of crafting going on.

I don't think the Tears will spike high except for the immediate release of the patch (and maybe not then, either), but it's going to be weeks, if not months before they're Vendor prices again.

50 Essences + 25k Gold for the Archon Gauntlets will likewise keep the Essences around the same price as the average Magic item Vendor cost (~1000 Gold) for a few weeks, at least.

Didn't. See this till this morning. Put mine up hope they go. Only paid a little over 100 a piece for mine so I'll be happy with even 550 each. Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks for the heads up. Sold 69,000 tears @ 600/each this morning (just missed patch notes window, argh).
35 mil profit.

Hoping that tears hit 1K/each again when 1.07! Good luck everybody.

I have over 600 tears from breaking down low vendor price magic items that I turn into equisite ess and sell for profit. Now I can make some tear profit too!
