spending limit of x-y million? unless you want something like an achievement, or hellfire ring, then that can be done together what say you? |

I think too early. I know personally I dislike Christmas talk before thanksgiving has occurred, but that is normally for stores pushing it too soon. |

the only thing i could see as a problem would be that most of the "regulars" are geared pretty well... so the only upgrades they would want/need is in the 50M+
better start saving up! |

I really like the idea, but I don't have a lot of gold. Maybe different spending tiers? Pretty much the only thing I got going for me is tanking for people in hc.

I like the idea too, but didn't post anything at first cause I felt bad since my hero is relatively under geared & I almost never have over a million gold (i.e., I'm worried the gift(s) I'd be giving would be worth substantially less than whatever it is I receive). I suppose if it's unidentified rares, though, then that would definitely be do-able...goodness knows I get tons of rares that are non-DH class specific that I could afford to not identify. Definitely count me in! :)

@euggie I like the idea too but with limited range as I'm a casual player.
Although I do need some upgrades on my own to get on higher MP I definetly can spend the other million on EU. |

Another idea would be to have a gag gift version. We could try to find the funniest item, whether it's a pathetic rare or something with a funny name.
@Bort @h311o There was a post in the HC forum asking for EU players and got some replies. You guys could also make a post in General if you wanted to get a more recent poll of EU folks. |

I feel like the problem with items is the wide range of gear levels of people on this forum. One man's treasure might be another man's trash :/.
Diablo 3 items aren't like real life gifts where you can attach meaning, humor, emotions, etc to validate or supplement spending limits. They are what they are: numbers to make your character better. The secret santa would have to be more creative. Like yeah, an achievement or an uber run. An investment of time puts everyone on equal footing. |

I'm fine with it but I always just give money or stored value items (gift cards/Visa cards) in the real world. The same would likely apply here if there was a gold value limit for the present.
