I have no idea why Emeralds moved so high, in the first place. I think buying into them is pure speculation, but they've maintained their value relatively long on the PTR so you might be on to something.
Given how long Amethysts held their value on the PTR, those could be a reasonable investment now. Topazes are utter trash on the PTR because no one wants MF, but it signals a red flag to me. It's funny, because Flawless Square Topazes have traditionally been one of the best investments ahead of a patch. It might be worth tossing a small percent of your bankroll in Topazes for the chance to score big. Rubies are a gambler's dream. Right now, they haven't rescaled min/max damage on the lower-level Rubies only the Marquise Rubies. If they do rescale the damage, Flawless Square Rubies will temporarily skyrocket in value. If they don't rescale the damage, Flawless Square Rubies may see a mild bump and the Radiant Star Rubies could see a bigger bump since that's going to be where the demand increases. Then again, the RS Ruby market may already be saturated and you'll lose your shirt. Roll the dice? |
