I finally just got around to bringing down diablo (inferno) now what do you do now, seeing how there is no endgame. Im currently working on leveling my last character to 60 (the barb which so far is fun). Once i finish that whats the next thing to do? PvP doesnt seem like it will be here soon enough. What do you guys do?

Grind to para 100. Make money and gold. Try new builds as your items become godlier and godlier. Make money and gold.

And kill Diablo again while testing new builds.

I wondered the same thing myself. I just beat Inf Diablo and I am sorta starting to look at other games. Grinding to para 100 is not my idea of a good time. Right now I am trying new builds and farming act 3.

Hardcore definitely increases the intensity. Like a whole different game.

I noticed this after beating inferno on my monk (just after the 1.04 patch). My solution was to start a new character. I made a barbarian and have been having a lot of fun. I got a couple paragon levels on my monk, but I haven't played him in a while.

There is so much content. Beating Inferno Diablo is really just the start of the Diablo 3 experience.

Completing it on multiple characters, using fun builds, min/maxxing your characters via farming, Paragon leveling, achievements, coop with friends; saying "there is no endgame" is strange to me.

"It is what it is". Unless you've just started playing the game, the game is pretty straight forward: kill stuff to get money/exp, use money/exp to get better stuff, kill more stuff. I really don't understand the whining (not this post; i'm talking mostly about people on the bnet forums). If the game is so bad/boring, then just do something else. 95% of my friends stopped playing d3 awhile ago; that's completely acceptable and understandable. Some of them just had to, some of them just wanted to. Personally, I still enjoy playing a little bit (far less than when the game first came out) even though I've completed most of the material. It's mind-numbing (in a good way) and really casual, which in its own weird way, is relaxing. Playing 8 hours of d3 is not what I would call enjoyment, but if you have the time and desire to do so, then do it.

I've never played any game longer than diablo 3 (maybe starcraft 2). I think if you even played 60 hours, I would consider that well worth the money considering a lot of RPGs have no end game and they can be completed even faster. At the end of the day, if you find it boring and unenjoyable, then, you know, there are other things you can do, like, I dunno, running and stuff.

I typically just play for a few weeks of solid play time and then I get wore out on the game. I take a few weeks off and then start back up. It seems my interest level comes back. It's definitely not like Diablo II where I could continuously play and not lose interest.

Achievements is my preference. Some of them are quite fun to do. Die your entire armor pink! XD

When i Kill Inf diablo i will focus on paragon, so i can get lots of gold and decent items to build other characters.

Personally, i'm done leveling each 5 characters and i'm at 3900'ish achievements, still work in progress though.
But i remembered playing Hardcore way back during D2 days, and it was very fun and enjoyable.

I've been aching to try hardcore again in D3, but with server instability..i have been very hesitant to try it out. I've died a few times on softcore already by random lag/rubberbanding back into packs of mobs. :(

having just defeated diablo myself there is still HEAPS to do, for starters i'm only 60(9)

I can't faceroll act 3/4 yet, and i've only done it with one character, still want to get the other 4 to the same point

I would love to play HC if there was an offline option with a 240ms constant lag and pretty frequent lag spikes (my dsl is not that great, i'm in rural Australia) I just can't risk it, one spike and i'm dead :/
