Hi all,
I know 2 handers are pretty much UNWANTED items, and i know from personal experience why, i did manage it through act2 with them but they just seem slow and don't deal an awful lot of DPS. Now on the diablo forum, in the systems change, they state the following We also want to close the gap between dual-wielding and two-handers, and so we’re improving two-handed melee weapons by creating a new set of stronger affixes to compensate for the loss of stats that can come from your offhand. Now, i know all Legendaries that are currently around will not get the new buffs and affixes, do you think this will also apply for 2 handers? I'm ceratin its the same case, I have this 1200 dps with 900LOH 2 hander (see image) that i'd like to throw out now for 1mil (that's if it'll even sell, it'll probably go at most or 500k)  More of a discussion point than a price check, you guys think hold onto it or just throw it into the AH trash? ;-D |

The buff to 2-handers only applies to those found post 1.0.4 patch unfortunately

Yeah that's what i figured, too bad for people hoarding all the legendary items prior to the buffs, this was a recent drop for me so no big deal, will flog it off on the AH now while it might still possibly sell for 100k with some luck. Who knows, maybe the Barb will be able to equip two 2handers again one day :-) |

What Ilvl is it? If its 60+ you can break it down for the Fiery Brimstone ;) Those are going for around 400k atm. |

the picture is above, its not a legendary just a standard rare :( i've sold my brimstones today for 440k each so got lucky :O |

Technically, the Game guide lists all 61+ rares as having a 1/1000 chance of salvaging a Fiery Brimstone. I've never had it happen, but it's still possible and at 440k, the AH expected value of salvaging a 61+ rare is now 1776 Gold after Blizzard's sale fee. 374 of that is from the 1/1000 chance of a Brimstone, but long-term averages say to salvage anything that will Vend or Auction for under ~1700 Gold.

I've been fortunate enough to get a brimstone (just one) from salvaging ilvl 61+ rares (I think it was on a lvl 62)
But, so far, the only retroactive change made to items has been the IAS nerf |

I've been holding on to brimstones as well. I expect them to sky rocket (already have a bit) once the patch comes out from everyone crafting.

Man i've salvaged at least 5000 rares that are 61+ rare and never managed to get a brimstone from them, my colleague did manage to get one off a blue 60,im still yet amazed it was possible
