Brimstones are selling for half the price in EU servers (45k)
too bad we can't sell from one market to the other. I've also noticed that the Normal mode crafting materials in US are noticeably more expensive than Nightmare/Hell in the US AH, definitely worth salvaging the magic items you pick up. |
Essence, Tome, and Brimstone costs plateauing?

Ex Essence is at a new record low of 488.
Any time it has hit 500, it has recovered quickly and gone past 1000 within a few days afterward. I was quite surprised to see the price of it hover above 1000 a few days ago. |

So does anyone think there's a chance that Fiery Brimstone will rise up again...? :-0 Or is it always going to be hovering between 10,000~15,000 gold from now on...? :-(

I would rather say Brimstone prices will decrease as of the higher drop rate of legendaries |

Yah, that's what I'm afraid of. I bought a bunch of cheap (at the time) unwanted legendary items on the AH for around 80,000 gold & converted them into Fiery Brimstone when the going rate for FB was around 95,000~100,000 gold apiece--& then the market seemed to crash over night. :-0 Looks like if I eventually get rid of the stuff, I'm going to be out a lot of $. Either that, or maybe some day I'll get lucky enough to get a useful Crafting Plan as a drop & will be able to craft some decent items to use or sell back on the AH... |

I don't think they'll ever rise for the foreseeable future, unless Blizzard announces something new, like a buff to all the crappy Legendaries still around (like Ivory Tower...) and an improvement to crafting. but I think they're bound to improve crafting, and brimstones might rise then. however, I am not willing to speculate on it yet, not before I read a blue post announcing it. |

I am sitting on a ton of brimstones I bought in a similar price range. I am assuming I am pretty much SOL.
With the increased drop rate and number of crappy legendaries more and more brimstones enter the economy and there is a lack of reason to use them to craft anything. At the same time I don't think anyone is vendoring the brimstones either which means that every day that goes by without some new use for the brimstones more and more are building up with people's stashes waiting for the price to go up. As soon as there is even the slightest suggestion that the price might go up they will get dumped on the market. That would mean unless there is a massive unannounced change coming down the pike (along the lines of a lot of new/better craftable items) the price probably wont go back up to where they were. My guess would be the best chance we have of seeing the prices go back up is when/if an actual expansion gets released/announced. |
