So instead of farming I've been trying to level up my two remaining SC classes to lvl 60. I borrowed some equipment and want to get it back to it's owner as soon as I can.

Anyhow, I was doing Act 1 with my new Barb. I logged out after hitting the checkpoint before the Warden, waited 10 seconds to exit the game. Logged in a few hours later, resumed my game. I'm in town, but there is a town portal there that takes me where I was when I logged out. Whoa, is this new to 1.0.7? I need to do more testing, but I don't recall seeing this before (although I've mostly been farming since 1.0.5, so I tend to reset my chapter for each session).

If this is new, this could be great for Hardcore, then you can decide how you want to get back to where you left off. Sometimes spawning at the last checkpoint when you resume a game can be deadly.

Edit: Derp! Just re-read the patch notes and saw this was covered. Oh well, I thought it was neat.

Patch notes:

When resuming a game, players will now be placed in town instead of at the last known checkpoint (a portal will be available to take you to your last known checkpoint, if desired)

I love that change, too! Sometimes I resume a game after I finished a run and then I have to spend 5 seconds waiting to TP back to town.

I thought Siegebreaker was on the list and I'm surprised he isn't. I haven't tried running him to check and don't really intend to, but I am curious.

In one of the run to Cynaea, I was at 3 NVs. But I did not check all corners on my way there, hence I could have missed one or two packs.

Think I did about 8 runs to Iskatu (oh, this is his name!). In 2 of the runs, he dropped plans. In 1 of the run, Cynaea drop me a plan. I have the remaining 4 plans (out of 7) dropped off trash mobs. On the legs, IK Helm, 300th spear, Depth Digger, Manticore, Messupmessup 2h Axe, Frostburn Gauntlets.

I'm combining my key and plan runs at the moment.

Skycrown, then Stonefort just till I find the Keywarden.
Then towers to Cydaea
Then run all the way to Rakanos

Have 7 plans after 5 runs on MP3.
Last 2 runs had no drops at all.
Also got one or two of them drop of Iskatu

Not certain of the time it takes, but should be roughly 15 minutes. Very long to what you guys are getting, but still quick enough for me.
I mean I'm still working on my 100M gold pickup and only Paragon 52. So I'll be doing this run a many more times, so I'll get all the plans eventually. Not in any real rush to get something.


At the rate people are grinding plans they will be moaning about how the game is boring and need a new patch by the weekend.... and it annoys me to no end that people seem to jump up and down for an patch 2 seconds after one is released.

I did 3 run with a friend today which was:

Towers Cydaea-> Azmo
Key Warden & back to town to end A3
All the way to Rakanos.

We both had plans drop and think I have 6 now, 2 given to me and have 2 duplicate plans too which I've sold.

Only rolled 6 items, nothing great except a nice follower amu for Enchantress.

I plan to roll a new item at the end of each run & don't want to AH matt's just find my own.

An old time friend is drawn back to try D3 after 1.07.

I was showing him @Metta's route of farming plans up to Rakanoth.

He got an Amulet plan of Intel from Cynaea.
I got a Archon Spaulder of Intel from Rakanoth, and Archon Gauntlets of Dex from Iskatu.

Fastest run with most plans, hands down.

Argh....this friend just got the Marquise Emerald Design from Iskatu on his solo run.......lucky him

crafting amulets are like throwing gold into the seas =O

You can buy marquise plans for under 1.5 mil....finding them really isn't that great.

Yea my friend was like WTF when he searched for the price in AH...........600k lol

One last thought.... Demonic essence only stack to 100, not 500 like other crafting materials. What were they thinking??? *sigh*

They thought they are hard to find, and people will just waste them on crafting the moment they have enough mats, probably. I also wonder why they color it.......yellow.

I love the new buff to Blizzard and the fact that it properly procs APOC.
